Free 14-Hour Real Estate CE for Nokomis, FL Agents
Nokomis is an unincorporated community in Sarasota County, set between Osprey to the north and Venice to the south along US-41 and the Intracoastal Waterway. Agents who work here handle an unusually wide range of property in a small area: waterfront homes on Casey Key, bayfront and canal homes around Dona Bay and Roberts Bay, established neighborhoods near Nokomis Beach, and newer communities east of I-75. Whatever you list or sell, keeping your Florida license active comes down to the same requirement: 14 hours of continuing education every two-year renewal cycle. This free online course, provided by Sunstate Real Estate School and sponsored by DCA Florida Homes, covers all 14 hours.
What the 14 hours include
Florida's 14-hour CE requirement for sales associates and brokers is split into three parts: 3 hours of Core Law, which covers recent changes to Florida real estate license law and FREC rules; 3 hours of Ethics and Business Practices; and 8 hours of specialty education. The course is built around that structure, so you complete everything in one place instead of piecing hours together from different providers.

When Nokomis agents need to renew
Florida real estate licenses expire on either March 31 or September 30, and your CE must be completed before your expiration date. If this is your first renewal, the post-licensing course (45 hours for sales associates, 60 hours for brokers) takes the place of CE for that cycle; the 14-hour requirement applies to every renewal after that. You can confirm your expiration date and completed hours by logging in to your DBPR account.
How the free course works
Create an account, work through the units online at your own pace on a computer or phone, pass the unit quizzes and the final exam, and download your certificate of completion. There is no cost to Nokomis agents; DCA Florida Homes pays for the course as a way to support local agents in Sarasota and Charlotte Counties. Education credits are fulfilled independently by Sunstate Real Estate School, a DBPR-approved provider.
Why a Sarasota County course fits Nokomis agents
Nokomis agents often work in several markets in the same month, from Casey Key and Venice to North Port, Osprey and Sarasota. A self-paced online course lets you fit your hours around showings and closings instead of blocking off full classroom days. See our page for Sarasota County for county-wide CE information.
